The Fresh Faces workshop - a 5 week workshop taking you from never doing stand up to a 5 minute set at The Hollywood Improv. The class is all about finding your individual point of view and getting personal. It's a fun and energized class that takes the mystique out of the daunting process of creating a set and leaves you with a slight addiction to getting up on stage. If you think you want to try stand up but never knew where to begin this is the class for you. Workshops are ongoing. To sign up for the next workshop email Lesley Wolff at [email protected]. Remember..."If anyone else can do your set...it's not your set. "
Student and Corporate Testimonials:
"I've always wanted to do this and always been too afraid to try. Lesley broke it down so simply that it was easy to succeed, thx! - Chris Osborne
"It was a great pleasure to be a part of Lesley Wolff's Fresh Faces class. I wouldn't have been so confident on stage if it wasn't for her amazing insights and charisma that she offered every class meeting. She really helps you develop a set that is so individual to you and she also really cares to see that you succeed. I would recommend this class to anyone and I am so happy to of had the opportunity to work with a woman who really knows her comedy." -Kelly Hendrickson
"I started taking Lesley's class just to experience something new and left wanting to be a part time comedian. Lesley helped me find myself as an actress and as a comedian, not to mention the friendship we all developed in class. She created a safe environment for us to express ourselves and be as creative as possible. We discovered that we are all creative, amazing and funny in our own unique way, and that was a revelation for me. It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life and I fully intend on retaking her class because it's an experience I want to repeat. Thank you Les! You blessed me more than you could know." - Daisy Gomez
"Lesley's class was terrific. I've been doing improv/sketch comedy for years, but I'd always afraid of standup. I met Lesley and decided to take her class. It ended up being my favorite comedy class I've ever taken. Improv/sketch doesn't necessarily teach you what your comedic voice is. Lesley does. Lesley creates a supportive environment and really walks you through doing your first stand up set. Highly recommend it. Wish I took it years ago." -Megan Grano
"Lesley really did do all that she said she'd do in this class. She helped me find my own comedic voice and a new confidence. I would have never known how good it felt to just be my self, with a microphone, in front of an audience, making them laugh- just by sharing what I enjoy about life. I loved the experience of being my own writer, and was pleased with the feed back and the final result. To my surprise, I felt comfortable up there doing stand up. I'm usually nervous on stage and question my every move. But when you're just asked to be your self, speaking your own words, a huge burden is lifted. The whole experience was refreshing. Lesley is fun to work with because she's real, truthful, and really listens. I learned a lot about myself through the writing process, the group exercises, the performances, and through watching my other comedic peers. I'm excited to keep working on new sets and developing my Stand Up skills. I think this class mainly helps with feeling comfortable with yourself, and having the courage to share it". - Rosemary Leone
"I would highly recommend Lesley's class for anyone looking to bust down the door of the stand up world. I've studied improv for several years and dabbled in writing little jokes here and there but never really had a grasp on doing stand up. Lesley helped me find my "comedic voice". I have a clear view of what I want to say and what people want to hear from me after taking her class. I left with a 5 minute set that I feel I can easily add to and form a longer set to take around town. Take Lesley's class!!! It's one of the best investments you'll make in LA." - Jamie Gaul
"I just want to say you are the best teacher I have ever had. You have amazing insight. I am so scared to go up and do stand up but excited to face my fears." – Maria Quinones
"Lesley Wolff created a custom improv and stand-up comedy workshop for Women's Network @ NBCUniversal. The workshop was simply fantastic! All the members raved about the event which provided key skills in communication and public speaking that our members could use in their professional lives the next day. Thank you for making us laugh and bringing our group closer together. You did an amazing job with our very corporate group. We loved the workshop so much, we are hoping it can become an annual event!!" - Montse Garriga
"Lesley teaches a great stand up class. It’s fun, informative and her energy is infectious. If you've EVER considered trying stand up but were too afraid to give it a try, this is the class for you!"
